PLAZA 2 DE MAYO / 2nd OF MAY SQUARE
digital print on paper, 2014
130 x 75 cms

Two photographs, placed one by each other, show views of two city squares: the 2th of May Square in Lima and the 2th of May Square in Madrid. Next to the images a text is shown. Each square is named after a different event. And in each case, the city was defending itself against an invading army; being Spain once the attacker, once the defender. In the text both stories are mixed to the point they become a single one, after losing all geographical references.
